Flags, flags flags.

Flags: Many of them. On boats one of the offical ways of communicating is by flags. They indicate what your nation of registration is, what your immigration status is, what club(s) you belong to, and to show respect to the country you are in. Now there is a pretty set way that flags are displayed. Your ensign is mountedon the stern, for US flagged vessels you can use several flags to indicate that you are a indeed a US registered vessel. This is the US Yacht Ensign flag and dates to 1848. You can use this flag or the US national flag. Courtesy flags are flaw of the Starboard (right side) spreader and is the national flag of the country you are in. Novella is in Mexico, so the Mexican flag will be flown off the starboard spreader. 3/14/23: Well, here it is after so many years of "Someday we will have a boat in the tropics" we have a boat, in the tropics. Well, OK Sea of Cortez. But that is on the start of the plan. More on the plan later, right now we have to settle our affairs on land and transition to life on the water. The boat, well the boat is a 1978 Hnas Christian 38 T (Traditional). Fiddler's Green finds a new home

Lots of news. Marcia and I have a closing date for the house. Awesome job by Marcia sticking to her guns. My turn came with selling Fiddler's Green, which we honeymooned on over in the San Jauns and Canadian Gulf Islands. New owner drove up from Arizona hooked Fidller's up and off she went to new adventures in the San Jauns. Now, for Marcia and I we are down to selling "Big Red" the dually that pulled Fiddler's and hauled canoes, and other sailboats to far flung places, and closing up shop here in idaho for a 2nd week in December move to our new home.
